Why OLEDs?

Organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) offer several features which make them an ideal solution for a large variety of applications. Especially, portable devices benefit from the minimum space and power requirements of OLEDs.

  • Two-dimensional (2D) light-source

  • Ultra-flat (OLED ~300 nm, package >0.1 mm)

  • High efficiency (up to ~100 lm/W)

  • Fast switching speed (<10 µs)

  • All colors (red, green, blue, white, yellow, orange)

  • Lifetime (T50% >10'000 - 40'000 h or more)

  • Flexible substrates possible
